What happens after we receive a notice
We review every complete notice promptly. Where a claim appears valid, we remove or disable access to the material and record the action. Where the notice is unclear or missing required elements, we contact you for clarification before deciding. We aim to acknowledge notices within a few working days.
Counter-notice
If material you contributed was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. Include the material identified and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, your name, address and phone number, your consent to the jurisdiction of an appropriate court, and your signature. We may restore the material in accordance with applicable law after the required waiting period unless the original complainant pursues legal action.
Repeat infringers and false claims
We will terminate access for anyone who repeatedly submits infringing material to this site. Equally, submitting a knowingly false takedown notice can carry legal liability, including damages and costs — please only file a notice for material you genuinely own or are authorised to represent.
